We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a thriving engineering firm in Victoria, renowned for its outstanding culture and work environment. The ideal candidate will hold a Mechanical Engineering degree and have at least five years of hands-on experience developing construction documentation, plans, and calculations for mechanical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire suppression. This role also involves site inspections and overseeing construction processes. Experience working in projects in the healthcare sector is desired.

Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in British Columbia
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design
Motivated, adaptable, and eager to expand technical knowledge
Excellent time management and strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Experience :
Background in designing mechanical systems for buildings, particularly within healthcare settings
Knowledge of hydronic heating and cooling systems, including associated equipment
Experience with medical gas and steam systems is an asset
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
Familiarity with BC Building Code and other relevant regulations
At least five years of relevant consulting experience, with 10 years preferred
Qualifications
Develop mechanical designs for HVAC and plumbing systems in both renovations and new builds
Compile and analyze engineering data to prepare technical reports
Adapt to various engineering tasks as needed based on project requirements
