About the workplace
This is a full-time, permanent role that will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Vancity head office location and your Lower Mainland based home office. Periodically, you'll be required to attend in-person activities or events.
The Director of People Consulting will develop and implement a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with Vancity's goals and supports long-term objectives. This role guides Senior Business Partners in creating a strategic people roadmap, collaborates on key talent and equity-centered initiatives with People and Culture COEs, and ensures alignment with financial and operational goals. The Director fosters consultative partnerships with stakeholders to deliver tailored people solutions and support workforce planning.
You report to
This role reports into the VP of Talent, Equity and People and will support our team of Equity and People professionals including Sr. HR Business Partners and HR Analytics.
A typical day would involve :
- Develop and implement a comprehensive People Consulting strategy that aligns with Vancity's goals across all divisions, ensuring people initiatives support the organization's long-term objectives.
- Guide and support Senior Business Partners in collaborating with business leaders to design and implement the strategic people roadmap, ensuring achievement of key people KPIs, effective performance management, and smooth rollout of Centre of Excellence (COE) programs.
- Partner with People and Culture COEs to ensure that talent priorities reflect an equity-centered mindset, embedding inclusive practices in all talent strategies and execution.
- Collaborate with FP&A to establish and refine best practices in workforce and labor planning, ensuring alignment with the organization's financial, operational, and labor relations goals.
- Cultivate consultative and collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment between people strategies, business needs, and staff development. Act as a Business Partner to a designated client group to provide tailored people solutions.
You have :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. A Master's degree is an asset.10+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field.5+ years of leadership experience, including managing and developing teams.CHRP, SHRM-SCP, or other relevant HR certifications are preferred.In-depth knowledge of equity-centered practices, inclusive talent strategies, and workforce planning.Strong understanding of organizational development, performance management, and employee relations.Experience in collaborating with Finance for workforce and labor planning.Proficiency in project management and data analysis, including utilizing HR analytics to guide data-informed decisions.Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and influence senior leaders.You are :

The salary range for the role is $121,000 to $181,200 and a candidate's offer is likely to be up to the mid-point of the role ($151,100). The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill.
