Base pay range
CA$65,000.00 / yr - CA$85,000.00 / yr
Role Overview
The Business Data Engineer will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving sales, client success, and revenue data pipelines. The role will also assist in producing and maintaining key analysis and dashboards which track sales activity and revenue performance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, working closely with executives to develop strategic analysis and drive performance improvement. The role also leverages statistical techniques and programming languages to present findings to executives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide data-driven recommendations from large datasets. The Data Engineer plays an essential role in training and upskilling internal stakeholders, enabling the broader organization to leverage data effectively in decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and improve sales, client success, and revenue data pipelines.
- Produce and maintain analysis and dashboards for sales activity and revenue performance.
- Work closely with executives to develop strategic analysis and drive performance improvement.
- Leverage statistical techniques and programming languages to present findings and recommendations.
- Trainer and upskill internal stakeholders for data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
Experience in data analytics, data pipeline creation, or a related field; experience within a SaaS company is a bonus.Highly proficient in data visualization tools, advanced Excel (Power Query, VBA), Python, R or other scripting languages, and database management (SQL). Excel proficiency will be tested.Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics or related discipline; exposure to financial mathematics or accounting is a plus.Strong ability to communicate complex data insights to C-suite executives and non-technical stakeholders.Experience working cross-functionally with a collaborative approach.Experience training and mentoring colleagues on analytics tools and data-driven decision-making.Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality reports and dashboards.Benefits
