Infrastructure Analyst, IT
Reporting to the Director, IT the Infrastructure Analyst, IT will ensure that AltaSteel’s 24 hour / 365-day business operations and processes are executed effectively and efficiently by the implementation, support, and maintenance of a reliable information technology network, server, and storage structure. Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will be able to take ownership of the networking and telephony infrastructure – while also assisting team members with the other elements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2-year diploma in a computer systems-related program, with a focus on network, server, and storage
- 5 years experience of directly related work experience in infrastructure administration and support for a small-medium business environment
- Advanced knowledge in administration and maintenance of a firewall, network router, and switches.
- Advanced knowledge of Group Policy Objects (GPO)
- Experience with TCP / IP and other network protocols
- Experience with VPN (Site-to-site and remote)
- Experience with Cisco Meraki
- Experience in Microsoft Server Products : Windows Servers, SQL Servers, O365, Teams, and SharePoint
- Experience with Cloud infrastructure and Azure
- Experience in virtualization environment (VMware and Hyper V, Hyperconverged Infrastructure)
- Knowledge of Linux Server
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple issues and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Demonstrate sound business judgment with the ability to think clearly, analyze, prioritize work items, and scope out technical requirements
- Attention to detail
- Team player
- Taking initiative and having a passion for positive results
- CCNA or CCNP is an asset
- Experience in operational camera systems is an asset
- Experience working for an organization that is required to adhere to general IT controls (GITC) is an asset
- Experience supporting a 24 / 7 manufacturing environment is an asset
Job Details
