Software Engineer (Java)

In this role you will :

• Analyze business requirements and translate requirements into system and / or application design.
• Generate technical specifications to be used in building code and more importantly supporting components after implementation.
• Build modular and reusable code components that can be easily maintained.
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis.
• Leverage industry best practices.
• Assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area.
• Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment.
• Initiate and monitor deployments using Jenkins automated build toolset.
• Prepare UAT and PROD release procedures to be reviewed and approved by Change Management team.
• Implement PROD releases with adherence to mitigating risk and providing a correct contingency plan.
• Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner.
• Coordinates communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, of the work effort being managed.
• Negotiates IT project requirements (i.e., deadlines, budgets, resources, etc.).
• Builds and maintains solid, professional working relationships with peers within the project management and business lines.
• Meets scheduled milestones to ensure project / program objectives are met in a timely manner, has an in-depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices, and techniques for managing the activities related to planning, managing, and implementing software solutions.
