Location: Various sites within Quinte (Belleville, Picton, Trenton, Bancroft, Cobourg, Port Hope, Campbellford)
Shifts: Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual (Days, Nights, Continental, Rotating Shifts)
Pay Rate: $18.35 – $21.00/hour

Join Paladin Security as a Healthcare Security Guard and support safe, dynamic hospital environments across our partner sites. From the fast-paced Quinte Health network to Campbellford’s community-focused care and Northumberland Hills’ broad clinical services, you’ll play a vital role in protecting patients, staff, and visitors while contributing to community well-being.

• Maintain a professional, visible security presence
• Greet, assist, and direct patients, visitors, and staff
• Protect clients, staff, buildings, and assets
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols
• Respond to emergencies and support hospital code responses
• Document and report incidents; conduct investigations as required
• Perform patient watches and enforce hospital policies and by-laws
• Manage access control, keys, and parking enforcement
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
• Assist with monthly safety inspections and other assigned duties

Requirements

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• Valid First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB-approved provider)
• Ability to be clean-shaven for N95 mask fit testing
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum two doses)
• Immunization records for MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, and TB (Step 1 & 2)
• Valid Ontario G Driver's License and reliable personal vehicle
• Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (completed during onboarding)
• Minimum 6 months of security experience (healthcare preferred but not required)
• Full-time availability with a minimum 6-month commitment
• Fluent English communication skills (oral and written)
• Legally authorized to work in Canada

• French language skills considered an asset
• Minimum 6 months of customer service experience preferred
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
• Applicants without UoF/MOAB may opt into Paladin’s training program prior to onboarding
• Training costs are covered by Paladin with a 6-month commitment
• Please note: UoF/MOAB training is unpaid as it is a pre-requisite
