Position Description
We are looking for a professional and responsible Class 3 driver to join our team in Montreal, Canada. As a Class 3 driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safe and punctual delivery of goods across the city and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Drive various types of commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload cargo according to schedule and client requirements.
- Perform vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, deliveries, and incidents.
- Adhere to traffic laws, safety rules, and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members.
- Plan optimal routes considering traffic patterns and delivery times.
- Execute basic vehicle maintenance and promptly report mechanical issues.
- Ensure proper handling and securing of goods during transport.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
Valid Class 3 driver's licence with a clean driving record.Minimum 2 years of experience as a commercial driver.High‑school diploma or equivalent.In‑depth knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.Proven ability to drive various types of commercial vehicles safely.Strong time‑management and organization skills.Excellent communication skills in English (French proficiency is a plus).Good physical condition and endurance for loading and unloading duties.Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.Knowledge of local Montreal roads and traffic conditions.Valid Driver Carrier Certificate.Preferred : Dangerous Goods Transportation (TMD) certification.Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.Attention to detail and strong commitment to safety.Equal Opportunity Employer
