ADDICTION WORKER (24-R212)

Bargaining Unit : UNIFOR-SMITH

Status : Part Time TEMPORARY

Department : Adult Addictions

Site : Sister Margaret Smith Centre

Shifts : Days / Evenings / Nights including weekends

Rate of Pay : $28.11 - $28.70 per hour

Qualifications :

• Must possess a 2-year Diploma in a post-secondary Human Services field and 1 year working experience or specialized training in addictions
• Must have working knowledge of addictions and familiarity with working in an adult residential setting, including crisis intervention skills
• Must be able to work any shifts as requested
• Safe Food Handling certificate
• Standard First Aid certificate
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Class G driver's license and adequate insurance
• Demonstrated regular attendance at work

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

• This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
• Offers of employment made to external candidates are conditional upon providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination as per the or proof of valid medical exemption, prior to the offered effective date.
