The 12-month term Credit System Clerk will support the accuracy and efficiency of our Accounts Payable operations by coordinating credit and collection activities across the business. This role is led by the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, and requires a detail-driven professional with strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Processing credit requests from Accounts Payable and other departments by issuing letters of deduction to manufacturers and freight companies.
- Processing credit approvals to clear off system and follow up on disputed claims.
- Sorting and distributing vendor credit notes to the proper areas to ensure efficient approval of credits.
- Processing import invoices and warehouse credits; also warehouse invoices when needed.
- Verifying credit documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to processing.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager.
Qualifications
College Diploma or courses in Accounting or Finance is an asset.Three years’ experience within an Accounts Payable or Finance focused position.Excellent computer and typing skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).Experience working with vendor credits, deductions, or account reconciliations is an asset.Familiarity with reviewing purchase orders, receipts, and vendor statements to resolve discrepancies.Comfort working with high-volume financial data and credit documentation.Strong communication, organizational and mathematical abilities.Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.Benefits
