As we enhance our global expansion efforts and go-to-market strategy, we are looking for an enthusiastic Director, Product Marketing to join our high performing Marketing team.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

Reporting to our Vice President of Marketing, the Director, Product Marketing will lead the development of Riva’s go-to-market evolution working in partnership with stakeholders across the organization.

Riva is a product-led company with some outstanding achievements, and we need someone to tell our product’s story. We are seeking a collaborative, energized individual to drive our go-to-market program to the next level. The successful candidate will be a player-coach with a bias for action. More specifically, your responsibilities will include :

  • Provide leadership and coaching across marketing as a member of the marketing leadership team.
  • Working in collaboration with the VP, Marketing and with cross-functional teams, lead the evolution of Riva’s go-to-market strategy.
  • Build go-to-market strategies for product and service offerings and new markets based on research and data.
  • Position our offerings, act as a true expert on your customer, and ensure Riva’s value is communicated in a way that drives meaningful business results.
  • Educate internal teams on product functionality, strategy, and value.
  • Act as the neural network between product and go-to-market teams to develop, synthesize, and communicate customer insights across the company.
  • Tell Riva's story and lead messaging and storytelling for your products, ensuring a clear, consistent, and resonant narrative.
  • In collaboration with the Content Marketing and Communications functions, direct product-focused messaging across external and internal-facing product content assets including sales decks, product overviews, customer references, case studies and other relevant assets.
  • Interpret technical information and translate it into content that is accessible to a business audience while maintaining accuracy.
  • Create emotional connections between our brand and our customers through powerful storytelling.
  • Establish and coordinate new marketing, sales, support, and customer feedback loops.
  • Plan and execute on goal-driven campaigns to increase product adoption, usage, and expansion.
  • Develop positioning, naming, value messaging, and pricing to ensure our suite of products is optimized to serve different buyers, markets, and use cases, especially as our offerings expand.
  • Conduct market and customer research to gather data about target personas, buyer needs and the purchasing process for our products, including key buyer and influencer roles, and TAM, SAM and SOM analysis as required for new market entry and market penetration analysis.
  • Lead go-to-market product introduction / launch planning including development and measurement of KPIs.
  • Provide competitive and market intelligence and buyer insights to drive the development of campaign strategies that drive demand.
  • Collaborate with Sales / Sales Enablement teams to enable Sales with clear value propositions, messaging, training, and tools.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE?

  • 7+ years of experience in product marketing, most recently in B2B SaaS with additional experience in relevant strategic and analytical roles.
  • You've managed an enterprise-level product suite in a complex, highly regulated industry, such as financial services, biopharma, life sciences, medical device, security and defence, energy, etc.
  • A post-secondary education in Marketing, Advertising, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You've demonstrated mastery in core product marketing skills such as positioning, messaging, pricing, and packaging.
  • Experience managing people with a high degree of emotional intelligence, with the ability to be an effective team player in a cross-functional environment with various stakeholders.
  • Exceptional English language verbal and written communications skills and equally impressive project management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience across marketing functions with a solid understanding of how they work together to drive revenue generation and nurturing.
  • You are a problem solver who brings fresh, original thinking to company and customer problems.
  • You've led and developed go-to-market strategies to launch and scale new and existing products, and you've mentored others to do so, too.
  • You're a data-driven storyteller who is deeply curious about market needs, competitors, and usage patterns.
  • You fuse customer insights, brand strategy, and product mission to craft a clear, compelling narrative about Riva's suite of products.
  • You're skilled at influencing stakeholders and leadership to adopt strategies, and you prioritize opportunities to ensure achievement of company goals.
  • You’re a go-to-market pro who autonomously crafts and leads product strategies that lead to meaningful value for the company and our customers.
  • You’re skilled at drafting product launch plans and working cross-functionally to bring products to market with measurable impact to customer awareness and adoption.
  • You're the glue between teams and have a natural talent for keeping teammates in different disciplines in sync and helping them move towards the same goal.
  • You actively communicate insights, strategy, frameworks and project approaches between product and go-to-market teams.
  • Strong marketing expertise combined with strong business acumen that seeks and acts on market insights, financial performance, and other indicators.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Critical thinker with excellent time management, interpersonal, decision making, and organizational skills.

  • You have project management experience and the ability to manage people cross-functionally.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience, which results in a demonstrated ability to apply skills, will also be considered.
  • Experience working in a high growth start-up / scale-up building out the product marketing function.
  • Experience in market analyst relations is an asset.
  • First-hand experience working in financial services is an asset.
  • Ability to speak and write in a second language is an asset.
