Position Scope As Millwright your role is to provide mechanical equipment maintenance service and support to Pilot and Innovation Plant operations. Your primary focus will be to assist Plant operations by maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical equipment including motors, pumps, valves, evaporators, fans and other related equipment. Your role will also require the ability to remove equipment hatchways and piping flanges to provide access for the Operations team to complete inspections and cleanout related tasks. This position is based in Squamish, BC. This position is full-time and the schedule is 4 days / week for 10 hour days. Health, Safety and Environment Demonstrate a positive safety culture. Identify, report and resolve unsafe conditions, processes or actions within the workplace. Ensure that all safety related incidents, accidents and near misses are reported and investigated in line with company policy. Responsibilities Carry out preventive and condition-based maintenance equipment with a focus on mechanical process maintenance. Collaborate with the Operations Engineering Team in designing and planning of plant modifications. Lead the mechanical installation of new equipment and provide support during commissioning of new equipment. Participate in maintenance program reviews updating tasks and schedules for maintenance on mechanical equipment and other plant hardware. Identify, develop, install, and implement upgrades on existing equipment. Support critical lift tasks related to crane lifts and relevant activities. Complete work orders as assigned while ensuring detailed notes are recorded for future reference. Provide specialist support to modification and upgrade of electromechanical systems. Carry out fabrication, welding and pipe fitting work as required in support of engineered changes. Provide specialist maintenance input to plant design reviews at all lifecycle stages. Identify, capture and communicate lessons learned and implement solutions where appropriate. Develop, implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for mechanical maintenance tasks. Provide specialist support to Engineering and Operations in the development of new equipment layout and installation. Foster and maintain a positive culture within the Maintenance Team by promoting effective teamwork. Mentor junior maintenance staff and other employees to foster a safe workplace and teach best practices associated with mechanical maintenance. Carry out site tours as required for third party inspections and certifications of equipment as required Education and Experience Inter-Provincial Red Seal Millwright required. Pipefitter experience and / or welder certification is an asset. 5+ years maintenance experience following Red Seal certification, preferably in an industrial / chemical production environment. Experience commissioning industrial facilities is highly desired. Forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift Certification is an asset. Confined Space Entry / Rescue Certification is an asset. Min Level 1 first aid certification required; CE will can provide external certification.
