Industry : Developer-Builder (Residential High-Rise Projects)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our growing developer-builder team in New Westminster. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the estimating process for residential high-rise projects, including analyzing construction plans, preparing accurate cost estimates, managing tendering processes, and working closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of residential high-rise construction, strong financial acumen, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities :

• Pre-Construction Estimating : Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies for residential high-rise construction projects.
• Tendering : Manage the tendering process, including sending out tender documents, analyzing bids, and making recommendations for subcontractor selection.
• Cost Analysis : Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare estimates for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Budget Management : Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals and timelines.
• Vendor and Subcontractor Relations : Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to negotiate prices, terms, and conditions, ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and services.
• Project Support : Work closely with project managers to ensure estimates align with the project scope and schedule. Provide ongoing cost monitoring and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
• Value Engineering : Provide input and recommendations for cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.
• Risk Assessment : Identify and assess potential risks in project costs, timelines, and design changes, providing strategies for mitigation.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate and detailed records of all estimates, costs, and correspondence related to the estimation process.
