Kal Tire is hiring for an Automotive Service Technician. We’re looking for a (Journeyperson / Journeyman) Automotive Service Technician to perform routine maintenance to complex repairs on compact cars, domestic vehicles and light-duty fleets. This full-time, permanent role is based in our New Minas, NS store.
Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of general mechanical services, including brake and suspension repairs, engine diagnostics, and routine maintenance.
- Mentor and coach apprentices by sharing your expertise and supporting their skill development in a learning-focused environment.
- Collaborate with a skilled team while working on various vehicles, from standard passenger cars to light trucks.
- Identify potential mechanical service opportunities in partnership with the Sales team.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality in all tasks.
Qualifications
Fully licensed as an Automotive Service Technician (Journeyperson / Journeyman or Red Seal certified).A valid driver’s license.Brings a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with front-end brakes, shocks, and wheel alignments.Experienced in performing inspections, diagnostics, adjustments, servicing, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.Demonstrates excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.Benefits and Compensation
Starting wages of $30-40 / hr depending upon experience.
