We’re seeking talented Pharmaceutical Computational Biologists to join our innovative Life Sciences team in Toronto and play a pivotal role in our cutting-edge research projects.
Your main responsibilities :
- Perform sophisticated computational analyses to identify cell types, states, genes, and pathways associated with clinical outcomes using single-cell and bulk RNA-seq data
- Contribute to the creation of intuitive interfaces and comprehensive reports for exploring clinical, biomarker, and RNA-seq data
- Conduct integrative analyses of diverse data modalities to uncover associations with clinical outcomes and other relevant variables
- Engage closely with computational and wet lab scientists, providing insights and contributing to ongoing research projects
- Offer your expertise to enhance research initiatives, participate in brainstorming sessions, and present findings at team and departmental meetings
- Help drive innovation by developing and deploying new tools and methodologies to support research objectives
Qualifications :
PhD (preferred) or M.S. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.At least 5 years of experience in bioinformatics or computational biology, with a strong track record of data analysis and research contributions.Proficiency in R , Python , Unix , and GitExperience with statistical analysis and analyzing both bulk and single-cell RNA-seq dataFamiliarity with single-cell analysis tools and techniquesExperience with R Shiny for app development and deploymentKnowledge of clinical trial data and survival analysis methodologies
