Are you passionate about leveraging computational biology to drive breakthroughs in pharmaceutical research? Do you excel in transforming complex data into actionable insights that advance clinical outcomes? We’re seeking talented Pharmaceutical Computational Biologists to join our innovative Life Sciences team in Toronto and play a pivotal role in our cutting-edge research projects.

Your main responsibilities :

  • Perform sophisticated computational analyses to identify cell types, states, genes, and pathways associated with clinical outcomes using single-cell and bulk RNA-seq data
  • Contribute to the creation of intuitive interfaces and comprehensive reports for exploring clinical, biomarker, and RNA-seq data
  • Conduct integrative analyses of diverse data modalities to uncover associations with clinical outcomes and other relevant variables
  • Engage closely with computational and wet lab scientists, providing insights and contributing to ongoing research projects
  • Offer your expertise to enhance research initiatives, participate in brainstorming sessions, and present findings at team and departmental meetings
  • Help drive innovation by developing and deploying new tools and methodologies to support research objectives

Qualifications :

  • PhD (preferred) or M.S. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in bioinformatics or computational biology, with a strong track record of data analysis and research contributions.
  • Proficiency in R , Python , Unix , and Git
  • Experience with statistical analysis and analyzing both bulk and single-cell RNA-seq data
  • Familiarity with single-cell analysis tools and techniques
  • Experience with R Shiny for app development and deployment
  • Knowledge of clinical trial data and survival analysis methodologies
