Job description

International Tool Operator - Oil States Energy Services (Canada) Inc. specializes in custom designed wellhead isolation equipment for high pressure stimulation services on oil or gas wells. Our International Division located in Red Deer, Canada is currently seeking an International Tool Operator. An International Tool Operator III functions outside of their home country to competently install, maintain, and remove wellhead isolation tools while representing Oil States in a highly professional manner and respecting the cultural diversities of the foreign countries in which they work.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Expertly install, remove and maintain various isolation tools without supervision
  • Consistently and effectively carry out recertification on OSES equipment that is utilized internationally
  • Ensure that working inventory of well-maintained equipment is upheld
  • Possess a good knowledge of company tools and services to promote sales
  • Attend and participate in meetings held with Oil Company and Service representatives on behalf of OSES
  • Provide training and mentoring to ITO I and ITO IIs
  • Responsible for communicating all Field Alerts and Training Events with junior ITOs
  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion
  • Adhere to all company Operational and Safety policies and Industry standards
  • Capable of making independent decisions, troubleshooting, and consulting without supervision
  • Develop and retain strong, reputable customer relations
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Intermediate math and basic algebra skills
  • Calculate hydraulic forces
  • Calculate flow rates and formulas
  • Display a high degree of competence and professionalism in all circumstances while working
  • Ability to proficiently operate hand tools
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software

    • QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must have a valid passport
  • Must be able to travel for extensive amount of days and be on call 24 / 7 on regularly scheduled days
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • A minimum of 3 years previous Oil States isolation tool experience or minimum of 4 years of external company isolation tool experience

    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be able to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds
  • Requires pushing, pulling, bending, standing, kneeling, carrying, sitting, climbing for extended periods of time each day
  • Requires exposure to moderate noise levels
  • Exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures
  • Successfully pass fit to work medical and drug test
