• 0.50 FTE Grades 6-9 Online Learning Generalist Teacher

NIDES teachers guide successful learning by providing personalized online learning courses using diverse instructional technology. NIDES teachers commit to working online and face-to-face with students colleagues and parents. Teachers actively research develop and maintain advanced online curriculum and support blended learning instructions in classrooms learning centers and tutorials.

Our educational team is committed to engaging learners to develop creativity critical thinking collaboration communication and social competencies. Our educators use and develop best practices through meaningful and purposeful collaboration and inquiry. As lifelong learners themselves our educators embrace diversity apply assessment for learning approaches and integrate technology in meaningful ways to personalize learning. Successful candidates will demonstrate a willingness to embrace and share the districts commitments outlined above and model its principles in their practice.

The successful candidate will demonstrate :

Ability to create and manage on-line courses assignments assessments and resources incorporating current pedagogical frameworks (i.e. inquiry place-based personalized).

Ability to work with and provide support for students online and in person.

Ability to support students with course adaptations and I.E.P.s.

Ability to effectively utilize the following online tools : Brightspace (D2L) Seesaw Zoom MyEd.

Experience and skills with online learning technology support course design / development in Brightspace(D2L) Google Classroom and e-portfolios (Seesaw).

Experience and commitment to working collaboratively as part of a teacher team advancing methods in curriculum integration and personalized learning.

Experience with Student Learning Plans and parent co-facilitation.
