Quality Assurance Specialist

MoD is on the hunt for a Quality Assurance Specialist, the successful candidate will oversee the quality aspects of high to critical complexity bids, projects, and products. This is a 6-month contract hybrid opportunity for a leading client of ours in the GTA.

Key Duties:

• Own project quality and ensure customer quality requirements are understood and met
• Perform audits and compliance checks against internal processes, contracts, and standards
• Participate in and approve/reject project gate reviews and milestones
• Write and execute Project QA and Software QA Plans
• Coach project teams on QA processes and risk management
• Conduct root cause analysis, lessons learned, and process improvements
• Prepare quality reports and provide visibility to leadership
• Support customer audits and internal audits when required
• Raise red flags when there are unresolved compliance or risk issues

Must Haves:

• 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Engineering/System/Software Development
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, etc.)
• Strong understanding of QA practices and Quality Management Systems
• Ability to work across multiple disciplines (Engineering, Safety, PMO)
• Experience in complex system environments with certification constraints (e.g., Transportation, Aerospace, Medical Devices, Nuclear, Cybersecurity).

Hourly Rate Range: $35-$40
