As a Youth Care Worker in a school, your role is to provide essential support and guidance to students facing various challenges. This includes offering emotional support, counseling, and mentorship to help them navigate academic, social, and personal difficulties. You'll collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans and ensure the well-being and success of each student. Additionally, you may organize and facilitate workshops, group sessions, and other activities aimed at promoting positive mental health, resilience, and life skills among the student body. Your compassionate approach and dedication make a significant impact in fostering a supportive and nurturing school environment. Once hired, a casual employee can view all internal postings for Term and Continuing positions and has the contractual right to post into vacancies to secure more consistent and / or guaranteed hours.
