Job description

Description : The primary responsibility of the Project HR Advisor will be to support the HR Lead, Major Projects in execution and performance as well as delivering a high-level, project coordination and front-line HR services. The position will require a strong partnership with operational leaders and the individual must enjoy working in a fast-paced project environment.Responsibilities :

  • Support the project work force planning program to ensure the project is staffed to support through various project phases and work scopes.
  • Track any workforce plan changes as required and maintain and track project staffing requirements
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and project onboarding.
  • Support on-boarding process to ensure consistent messaging across the project
  • Work with Mobility and Project team to track all assignments and rotational personnel
  • Update and maintain position profile database for all project-based positions
  • Ensure corporate policies, programs and practices are understood by leaders and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with Talent Acquisition to recruit top talent for the project teams
  • Assist with monthly workforce plan reviews and coordinate monthly HR project reporting
  • Develop and maintain project organizational charts
  • Coordinate HR projects as assigned including; developing solutions, creating action plans, creating communication and change management strategies for the project.
  • Validate project time coding reports to ensure alignment with workforce plans
  • General HR Duties as requiredCompetencies :
  • Ability to deliver formal orientation, presentations and / or training to all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work with project schedules and meet strict deadlines.
  • Good understanding of HR processes and how they support the business

  • An Undergraduate degree in Business / Commerce or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources in a project environment
  • Knowledge and experience working on Major Projects in the oil and gas industry
  • HR experience working in a field environment would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of applicable employment standards and related legislation.
  • Knowledge of SAP / Workday (or similar HRIS) would be an asset.
  • Highly skilled in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (required).
