Veterinary Technician (RVT) – Full-time
Role : Registered Veterinary Technician, Status : Full-time, Salary : Negotiable based on experience, Schedule : 4 days a week with rotating weekends, one 12-hour shift per week.

Responsibilities
Assistance in the examination roomPre‑examination procedures including weighing, recording weight, taking temperature, medical history, and recent complaintsAnimal restraint as necessary; animal injections under supervisionAdmission and discharge proceduresTechnical skills or knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy preferredSurgical assistanceCleaning, packing, and autoclaving all surgical instruments after use and maintaining proper inventory in surgeryAssist receptionist when necessary and assume receptionist duties as per hospital needsEnsure all patients are clean and dryPerform routine laboratory tests including blood counts, urinalysis, blood glucose, fungal cultures and fecal examinations as ordered by attending veterinarianCheck in‑patients and report to the attending veterinarianAssist in administration of anaesthetics and monitor patients during surgery and recovery; properly record treatment in treatment records, writing legiblyMaintain appropriate inventory levels of medical suppliesEnsure post‑discharge instructions are provided to clients and make telephone follow‑up of patients within two days of discharge, unless otherwise directed by attending veterinarianDental cleaningsCelebrate birthdays, new babies, anniversaries, and other life events because they’re importantDemonstrate professionalism and respect to colleagues and clientsOther duties as requiredQualifications
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification in OntarioHands‑on experience as a Veterinary Technician preferredStrong knowledge of veterinary nursing procedures, anesthesia, dentistry, and laboratory diagnosticsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environmentFinancial Benefits
