Job description

The Sales Manager will lead a sales team to drive growth within their designated sales region. As a part of Richelieu's dynamic and expanding international organization, you will contribute to a culture that emphasizes career development and employee passion.

Location : Vancouver, British Columbia

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Outside Sales Representatives.
  • Join Outside Sales Representatives on field sales calls to support existing and prospective customers.
  • Provide ongoing training and development in consultative selling, business-building methodologies, and product knowledge.
  • Foster a high level of employee drive, passion, and team morale.
  • Manage your own customer accounts directly.
  • Oversee all sales activities for the region, ensuring accountability for budgets and sales targets.
  • Monitor individual sales representative performance, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Establish and maintain an optimal product mix to maximize gross margin.
  • Coordinate promotions with sales and marketing teams.
  • Organize and lead Regional Sales Meetings.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training / experience.
  • 5+ years of direct selling and account management.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills.
  • Experience closing major transactions and managing multiple product / service lines.
  • Experience leading an outside sales team within the building materials industry.
  • Hands-on leadership and educational approach.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and monitoring skills.
  • Proactive, autonomous, and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Strong financial report understanding, including budgets and expenditures.
  • Ability to occasionally lift / push / carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Candidate must reside in Vancouver / Lower Mainland area.
