Job description

About the Role

  • Maintain the LCBO ERM Program to ensure continued agreement on OPS Directive / guidance and best practices. This includes updating methodology, policies, guidance material, templates, and the Framework document, including risk definitions, metrics, risk appetite definitions.
  • Maintain the mandate for the Risk Management Oversight Committee (RMOC).
  • Lead the updating of the existing entity level risk reporting.
  • Develop and implement new risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring processes within LCBO at multiple functional levels and within important decision-making processes.
  • Develop and implement the use of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
  • You would implement and maintain an ERM application or process to securely host / store all risk work performed.
  • Perform external risk scanning quarterly and provide information to RMOC for consideration.
  • Manage and coach direct reports to ensure that staffing and skill levels are sufficient to deliver commitments year over year.
  • Prepare the annual budget for review with the VP.
  • Maintain actual versus budget through the year and prepare / review reforecasts with the VP.

About You

  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Relevant professional designation considered an asset (e.g., Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), Canadian Risk Management designation (CRM)).
  • 10+ years in enterprise risk management, including implementation of all levels of an ERM program.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise risk management governance, frameworks, and fundamentals, including relevant Frameworks (COSO, ISO).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially related to facilitating, presenting, documenting, and reporting.
  • Well-developed relationship management and influencing skills to work with various levels of the organizations.
  • Agility and resiliency in your own work habits and ability to manage your workload.
  • Excellent Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with risk management systems and other data analytics tools.
