Educational Assistant Staffing – CASUAL

The Chilliwack School District is looking for enthusiastic, qualified Educational Assistants. We are looking for Education Assistants who are willing to work on an “on-call” basis. You would be required to be available for daily call outs to replace employees who are absent.

We are looking for patient, dedicated, caring, ethical individuals. If you have experience as an Educational Assistant OR formal training in an accredited post-secondary program that includes a substantial practicum we encourage you to apply.

• copies of relevant post-secondary diplomas, certificates and transcripts

Job Summary

With minimal direction by a classroom teacher or administrator, the Education Assistant –Special Education provides assistance to teachers and special needs students. He / she works cooperatively with other employees, parents, students and public.

Duties And Responsibilities

Equipment Used

Photocopier, computer, audio and video equipment, power tools, sewing machine, laundry equipment, and other specialized and classroom related equipment.

Required Knowledge, Ability, Skills

Knowledge of psychosocial issues of special needs students.
