Job description

Key Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and support a team of customer service representatives
  • Provide training, guidance, and motivation to enhance team skills and effectiveness.
  • Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and promptly, meeting requested timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with sales teams and customers to confirm order details and pricing accuracy.
  • Address any out-of-stock situations and manage purchase order extensions as needed.
  • Prepare and send Advance Shipping Notices and purchase order acknowledgements.
  • Oversee customer invoicing, including handling EDI invoicing and order confirmation for incomplete orders.
  • Issue credits, investigate discrepancies, and resolve any order-related issues.
  • Maintain and file paid invoices as required.
  • Troubleshoot and collaborate with the team to resolve inventory system issues.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding shipping, order status, and product availability in a timely and professional manner.

Education / Experience / Skills :

  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role within customer service.
  • Experience in consumer goods or related industries is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and customer service software.
  • Experience with Sage 300 and / or inventory management systems is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of order management, invoicing processes, and EDI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving skills.
