Duties & Responsibilities: Travel throughout Western Canada, to visually inspect electrical building systems in the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional buildings industry.

Analyze, diagnose, commission, and provide recommendations for electrical equipment.

Service/maintain/repair lighting systems.

Read and interpret product specifications and experience in working with building specifications, drawings and designs.

Conduct and attend site visits including but not limited to site verifications, inspections, and meetings.

Apply and adhere to national and provincial building codes across Canada.

Provides technical support as requested.

The ability to complete paperwork accurately in a timely manner.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and must have a vehicle.

• 309A license with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.

A valid 442A license is considered an asset.

Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and their operations.

Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as the Canadian Electrical Code, the Canadian National Building Code (NBC), etc.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and detail oriented and problem-solving skills.

The ability to be flexible with regards to work location and work schedule is a must, including the ability to travel away from home.
