Job summary
The Neonatal department in Newcastle is at the forefront of Neonatal care. We provide 36 cots for sick preterm and new born infants who require surgical, cardiac or medical intervention. We require an enthusiastic, motivated, dynamic and highly skilled neonatal nurse to be part of our well led senior team.
This is a fabulous opportunity to be part of the team and be involved in delivering extremely high level intensive and high dependency care to our special patients.

Main duties of the job
Internal rotation and contracted to work day and night duty
Rotational working in ITU & Low / High Dependency within the Neonatal Unit
You must possess the skills, ability and drive to deliver excellent standard of care, whilst providing support, training and education to other members of the team.

Job Purpose
To support the Senior Sister / Charge Nurse / Senior ODP, acting as a deputy when the Senior Sister / Charge Nurse / Senior ODP is absent.In areas within the organisation Nurses / ODPs may be banded at 6 by virtue clinical reasons, for example, critical care.Provide effective support and leadership to staff, patients and carers within the Theatre or Department.Act as role model, teacher and supervisor for junior staff and students.Ensure systems are in place to provide the continuity of safe effective care for patients at all times.Effective member of the multi-disciplinary teamMay be required to participate in an On-call rota as required.We are committed to improving the working lives of our staff and maintaining a healthy andefficient work force while providing excellent care to our patients.
