Role

Project Engineer (Contract Position 4-6 months)

Engineering Drafting & Layouts

• Develop, update, and standardize:
• Plant and manufacturing layouts
• Maintenance asset and equipment drawings
• Utilities and service infrastructure layouts
• Contractor service and maintenance planning drawings
• Document ABU infrastructure, equipment interfaces, and end-to-end process flows

Operations & Quality Documentation

• Partner closely with Quality Assurance and Operations teams to identify and document gaps between:
• MFS, BMPs, and ABU recipes
• Best Manufacturing Practices
• Bills of Material (BOMs)
• Actual operating practices
• Review existing documentation and correct missing, outdated, or inconsistent records

Training & Technical Documentation

• Develop and maintain documentation supporting Production and Engineering, including:
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
• Troubleshooting guides
• Process and system modification documentation
• Supporting engineering drawings and visual aids

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as a technical liaison between:
• Operations
• Engineering
• Maintenance
• Quality
• Translate field conditions into accurate, usable, and auditable documentation

Contractor & Vendor Documentation

• Define and document service contractor scopes of work
• Support vendor evaluation through technical documentation review
• Document maintenance and service interfaces

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in industrial drafting within manufacturing or maintenance environments
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of manufacturing operations, maintenance systems, and plant engineering
• Experience documenting process flows, SOPs, and operational standards
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced plant environment
• Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in chemical, packaging, or industrial manufacturing environments
• Exposure to batching and ABU-based manufacturing systems is considered an asset
• Experience working within QA-controlled documentation systems

Contract Deliverables

• Updated and complete engineering drawing packages
• Documented alignment between MFS, BMPs, ABU recipes, BOMs, and operational practices
• Standardized SOPs, training materials, and technical documentation
• Clear, accurate engineering records that support sustainable operations
