We are actively recruiting for a qualified professional, highly skilled and experienced individual to assume the role of Manager, Asset Management & GIS.
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Services, the Manager, Asset Management & GIS is responsible for managing the Asset Management and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division and for leading the development, enhancement and sustainment of a corporate asset management system that supports the City of Yellowknife's organizational objectives.
Working across all Departments, this position works closely with internal and external resources to realize the City's service delivery objectives through effective and efficient asset management.
The work requires a comprehensive knowledge of asset management and GIS. This knowledge is normally acquired through a post-secondary bachelor's degree in civil engineering, planning, business, construction, real estate, project management, or a related field.
A minimum of 8 years' experience in ISO 55000 asset management best practices, as well as a firm understanding of enterprise asset management applications / software systems, project and organizational management within the public sector is required.
The incumbent must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years' progressive experience supervising and / or managing staff.
