RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position summary
The CIHR Pan-Canadian Network for HIV and STBBI Clinical Trials Research (CTN) facilitates and supports high-quality community-collaborative investigator-driven clinical trials and innovative non-interventional research across disciplines infections and key populations across all regions of Canada.

Phase 2 of the CIHR-funded CTN initiative aims to strengthen Canadas capacity for inclusive community-engaged clinical trials in HIV and other STBBIs. This phase focuses on implementing coordinated national platforms that support training and mentorship knowledge mobilization and infrastructure for adaptive and community-informed research.

The Platform Coordinator will be contracted through the central CTN and will support the Atlantic and Ontario regional platforms with administrative and operational needs as outlined in their grants. This role strengthens collaboration with Phase 2 regional staff and improves coordination between the regional platforms and the central CTN team. It further supports consistency and the sharing of best practices. The Platform Coordinator will relay information to ensure all regions stay informed and aligned.

The Platform Coordinator will also help streamline and harmonize processes across regions at varying stages of development ensuring cohesiveness and alignment with project objectives.


General Duties
Support administrative and coordination tasks related to the Phase 2 regional platform.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between regional platforms and the central CTN team.
Organize and coordinate meetings ensuring they are scheduled in a timely manner to support Phase 2 project milestones (including course development on Dual Code).
Monitor and track the creation and launch of courses on Dual Code ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
Keep an up-to-date record of registrations trainings and updates related to Phase 2 platform activities and central staff trainings (GCP Health Canada Division 5 SOPs).
Assist in aligning operational processes and documentation across regions to maintain consistency.
Support planning documentation and dissemination of best practices among regions.
Contribute to the development and refinement of tools templates and systems for cross-regional coordination.
Prepare progress summaries reports and updates for the central CTN management team.
Participate in regular coordination meetings and ensure effective follow-up on action items with the regions.

Education: Bachelors Degree
Field of Study: Public Health Health Administration/Health Systems or related field.
Other education considered an asset for this position: Masters Degree
Work Experience: 3 years

Required Skills

Experience in community engagement partnership development or stakeholder relations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities.
Understanding of community-based research health equity or related fields (an asset).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across regional and national teams.
Bilingualism (English/French) for the Quebec position and preferred in other Canadian regions.

Additional information

Status: Temporary part-time: 17.5 hours (0.5 FTE)
Pay Scale: $27.32 - $50.74/hour. Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm: 2.5 days per week. Schedule TBD
