Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled Data Governance Specialist with handson experience in Data Lineage and Data Catalog as well as metadata management using industry standard tools The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data governance and be proficient in SQL Knowledge of Python is an added advantage

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage data lineage and data catalog solutions to ensure data traceability and accessibility
  • Oversee metadata management processes ensuring accurate and comprehensive documentation of data assets
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data quality and compliance
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to integrate data governance practices into data ingestion and processing workflows
  • Conduct regular audits of data systems to ensure adherence to governance standards
  • Provide training and support to team members on data governance tools and best practices
  • Create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards to monitor data governance metrics

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data lineage and data catalog management using tools such as Apache Atlas Collibra or similar
  • Strong understanding of metadata management principles and practices
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
  • Solid background in data governance including policy development and implementation
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Python is a plus
  • Certification Python Information Technology Data Science or a related field
