Accounting Clerk

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. This role involves supporting various accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, while handling administrative tasks and maintaining accurate records. As a Long-term Contract position, this opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
• Organize and maintain physical filing systems for financial paperwork and administrative records.
• Perform data entry tasks to ensure all financial information is correctly recorded in accounting software.
• Assist with invoice processing and order entry to support business operations.
• Reconcile account discrepancies and ensure proper documentation is maintained.
• Utilize QuickBooks and transition to new accounting software as required.
• Handle administrative duties such as preparing reports and tracking financial data.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Monitor billing processes and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Use Microsoft Excel to create spreadsheets and analyze financial data.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related administrative roles.
• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and strong ability to adapt to new software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data organization and analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients.
• Experience with manual filing and maintaining paper records.
• Ability to work onsite 3-5 days per week as required.
