EDUCATION :

Possess one of the following qualifications :

EDU1. Hold a bachelor's degree in one of the following technical fields : Civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, engineering technology or in a field related to the position to be staffed.

Hold a Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in one of the following technical fields : Civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, engineering technology, or in a field related to the position being staffed.

EXPERIENCE :

• EX1. Acceptable* experience in planning, validation of needs, management of corrective and / or preventive maintenance work;
• EX2. Acceptable* experience in real property operations;
• EX3. Experience in human resources management;
• Acceptable experience refers to the depth and breadth of experience gained through performing a wide range of job-related activities.

ABILITY

A1. Ability to plan program of infrastructure projects, including cost assessments, timelines and prioritization of projects to be planned or underway.

A2. Ability to identify, analyze and define complex problems and situations in order to propose effective solutions.

A3. Ability to establish and maintain fruitful professional relationships with a wide variety of technical or other stakeholders, such as client and external agencies.

A4. Ability to lead working groups with representation of stakeholders from diverse backgrounds to examine a particular issue, engage stakeholders, and build consensus.

ASSET EXPERIENCE :

AEX1. Recent* and significant* work experience with the use of CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system) planning and maintenance software.

AEX2. Infrastructure asset management experience.

Recent and Significant : A person may be appointed to the position even though they do not meet any or all of the asset qualifications.

However, meeting these qualifications is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed, now and in the future.

Reliability Status security clearance - Reliability clearance upon hiring and, depending on the needs of the detachment, the secret clearance could be required.
