Job description

Our client is a long-standing and respected construction supply company that has been a key partner to some of the province’s most prominent commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments. With decades of experience and a reputation for reliability, quality, and service, they continue to grow their team and are now looking for an Estimator to join them at their Surrey location.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review project plans and specifications to prepare detailed estimates for construction materials.
  • Accurately quantify materials and labor requirements for bids and proposals.
  • Liaise with contractors, developers, and procurement teams to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.
  • Track ongoing and upcoming projects to identify bidding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal sales and operations teams to align estimating efforts with company capabilities and timelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date pricing databases and supplier relationships to ensure competitive estimates.

Ideal Candidate Requirements :

  • 10+ years of experience in estimating within the construction or building supply industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Division 8, Division 10, or general construction materials is a strong asset.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with estimating software and takeoff tools.
