Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High-school diploma
  • Minimum of 5 years B2B product sales and/or aftermarket experience
  • Data Driven - Ability to perform business math functions and in-depth strategic analysis.
  • Proven track record in managing significant, major customer accounts with respect to relationship development, sales growth, profitability, contract negotiation and marketing
  • Effective time management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and takes initiative
  • Ability to train others
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills speaking and writing in the English language.
  • Ability to communicate at an expert level in the French language, in geographical areas in which the language is prevalent; language skill preferred in other geographic areas.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to lift weight up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle

Essential Duties

  • Acts as an appointed representative for NGK at each assigned Key Account; accountable for the relationship tasks, negotiations, contractual commitments and developing our relationship among decision makers in order to achieve NGK/NTK’s corporate goals.
  • Responsible for the development and integration of our full product line at each assigned Key Account.
  • Creates and implements strategy with approval to drive profitable sales growth, new product introduction, program creation and/or renegotiation, inventory management at all levels.
  • Monitors and tracks financial performance of each assigned key account to budget and targeted financial metrics as defined by the NSM, such as operating profit levels, rebate reduction and company promotion expenditure, inclusive of customer events.
  • Works closely with the customer to determine best use of investment dollars (events, sponsorships and co-op marketing funds) to drive positive sales trend.
  • Perform Quarterly F2F customer reviews and provide tailored analysis to meet the Account’s individual needs; documenting key discussion points in the CRM.
  • Provide monthly reporting of key account performance to the NSM
  • Stay abreast of and provide market data, competitive intel and other feedback to the NGK Sales and Marketing team aligned with corporate goals.
  • Attend national events and trade shows relating to your assigned accounts, including setting up booths, handing out promotional materials, and answering questions concerning NGK products.
  • Complete all other reports and other associated paperwork as required (i.e. call reports, monthly sales reports, detailed meeting notes in the CRM etc.)
  • Support the National Sales Manager and other colleagues as necessary on assigned tasks and projects Accomplish special projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to all the company policies and procedures
  • Business travel up to 60%
  • Occasional weekends and overnight stays
