We’re looking for a Site Superintendent in the Commercial and Multifamily Industry.
Our client is continuing to expand and is looking for a Site Superintendent to join the team. The position offers career development and growth, exposure to new construction methods, and involvement in unique community-focused projects. Our client maintains a supportive Senior management, allowing for opportunities to make a significant impact and contribute ideas throughout the construction process. The Site Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day operations ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the require quality standards.
Site Superintendent responsibilities :
- Collaborate with Project Manager, Project Coordinator and other team members
- Oversee subcontractors, schedule, quality and safety
- Contribute to decisions regarding development and implementation of construction methodology as well as design
- Work with the project team to problem solve on site issues
- lead and provide guidance to project team members
- Communicate with team and stakeholders
- Manage all conflict by effectively dealing with issues in a professional manner
- Able to proactively seek solutions and escalate issues when needed
- The ability to be a pro-active self-starter with the ability to think ahead and plan work accordingly
- Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project
The successful candidate has :
Experience in Commercial and / or Multi-Family construction projects of $20m+Strong knowledge of construction methods, building code and construction best practicesFamiliarity with wok safe procedures, safety regulations, valid first aid ticket an assetCapable of anticipating constructability issues in complex situations and creating solutionsStrong Conflict resolution skillsetHighly Organized individual with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, submittals and specificationsStrong ability to multitask; be proactive; and understand attention to detail and quality controlExcellent communication skillsA Collaborative individualProficiency in Word, Excel and TeamsProcore(or similar) software experience would be an assetCompensation and benefits :
The discussed salary range is $100,000 – $140,000, depending on experienceCandidates with additional experience and higher compensation expectations may also be consideredComprehensive benefits packageRRSP matching
