Location : Various locations across British Columbia

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders. They work with individuals across the life span to enhance their ability to communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct speech, language, and swallowing assessments.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results.
  • Provide therapy to improve communication skills, including speech clarity and language comprehension.
  • Educate patients and caregivers about communication strategies and techniques.
  • Document patient progress and modify treatment as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or equivalent.
  • State licensure as a speech-language pathologist.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
