(CAN) Pharmacy Manager

Position Summary

The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for all day-to-day activities affecting the people, operations, and merchandise in their division. The Pharmacy Manager must also see that the Pharmacy operates according to Walmart policy, professional standards, and provincial and federal regulations.

What You'll Do

Lead the Pharmacy and OTC teams, participate in recruitment and interviewing of candidates, train associates on OBWs/SOPs and Walmart workflow, and ensure execution.

Develop, assess, motivate, and retain team members. Promote Walmart's brand to team members and customers.

Work collaboratively with the Prof Services District Manager and the Store Management team and the Store Manager.

Operate the Pharmacy to achieve established plans and budgets. Manage associate scheduling, ongoing assessments, and periodic performance reviews.

Develop and execute business action plans to meet corporate goals and create corrective action plans based on identified deficiencies.

Maintain accurate inventories in the Pharmacy following Walmart OBWs/SOPs and address customer complaints to ensure excellent customer experience.

Ensure a proper appearance and hospital clean environment for associates and patients. Maintain the professional image for the Pharmacy area per Workstation Standardization and 6S Audit.

Execute all programs assigned to the Pharmacy by the Prof Services team and develop collaborative relationships with other health care providers within the store.

Accept prescriptions and refill requests, ensure all prescriptions are filled accurately, efficiently, and safely, counsel patients, and store pharmaceuticals properly.

Protect patient privacy and follow provincial regulations established by the regulatory body.

Ensure the pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours.

Compensation

Updated pay range: $75–$80/hr with sign‑on bonuses. Base pay range: $57.60–$77.40/hr. Rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Age 16 or older
• Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA – Additional Prescribing Authorization)
