Job description

CEDA is currently looking to hire a local Sandblaster / Coater in the Bonnyville area . This role will primarily be based in a shop environment with deployment to various site locations as required.

Candidates must be local to the Bonnyville area.

Key Duties & Responsibilities :

Sandblasting material and doing the proper testing and documentation

Select appropriate coating and mix as per manufacturers specifications

Testing the atmosphere and paint / coating thicknesses and filling out the required documentation

Holiday testing when required and filling out the proper documentation

Working safely and maintaining a clean working environment

Complete jobs in a timely manor

Clean equipment and perform routine maintenance

Coordinate with onsite client representatives

Drive to and from various sites in a company vehicle

Other duties as assigned

Role Specifications :

Minimum 2 years of related work experience operating various types of sandblasting & coating equipment is an asset

NACE Level 1 or 2 certification would be an asset

Knowledgeable in conventional and airless spray applications an asset

Valid Class 5 licence (non GDL) with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required

Valid H2S Alive & CSO are required

Fall Protection & AWP certificates are an asset we will provide training and Confined Space are an asset

Able to provide a negative result on a preemployment drug and alcohol test

Skills :

You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment

Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis

Experience with trouble shooting issues in the field

Ability to work well in both independent and team environments and manage multiple tasks while working under minimal supervision
