Junior Title Searcher

Job Description

The Jr. Title Searcher role requires the ability to work independently, good organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.  This position is responsible for complete Title Searches and closings, knowledge of real estate transactions and related aspects of title searching is required.

Perform requested searches including :

• Determine the type of search required (residential, commercial, full, sub, PPSA, etc.);
• Compile information in a standard format performing appropriate searches;
• Prepare abstracts relating to property, noting discrepancies, errors and omissions;
• Compile chain of title for each search;
• Obtain assessment roll number;
• Plot a sketch of the property;
• Provide Solicitor with required documentation within established timeline

Attend to the closing of real estate transactions including :

Complete base work for billing in a timely fashion including fee an all disbursements ;

Provide overflow Legal Assistant Work as required.
