Our Fabrication shop specializes in the design and fabrication of pressure piping fittings and vessels. The Role
We are seeking a motivated Shop Fabrication Pipefitter to join our fabrication team. This is a full-time shop-based role with a schedule of Monday to Thursday 6 : 30 am 5 : 00 pm. Future project requirements may include overtime weekend shifts or short-term field work.
Compensation / Benefits
- 3rd and 4th year rates are 80% and 90% respectively of Journeyperson wage which is $44.00 per hour.
- Overtime at time and a half after 8 hours per day.
- 6% vacation pay and 4% stat holiday pay on all regular hours.

Responsibilities / Duties
Maintain equipment.Read blueprints and specifications.Layout assemble fabricate maintain and repair piping systems which carry water steam chemicals or fuel used in heating cooling lubricating and other processes.Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring cutting threading grooving of pipes valves and fittingsLayout assemble fabricate maintain and repair pressurized piping systemsHydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies adding designed supports as requiredUse testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errorsMaintain all tools work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashionRead and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specificationsRed-line update drawings to an as-built conditionEnsure FLRA is completed at the beginning of every job and work is completed safely.Complete equipment maintenance in line with OCL Group and industry standards procedures and practices.May perform other related duties assignedMaintain shop cleanliness.Key Skills / Competencies
