Job descriptionMaintain equipment. Read blueprints and specifications. Layout assemble fabricate maintain and repair piping systems which carry water steam chemicals or fuel used in heating cooling lubricating and other processes. Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring cutting threading grooving of pipes valves and fittings Layout assemble fabricate maintain and repair pressurized piping systems Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies adding designed supports as required Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors Maintain all tools work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition Ensure FLRA is completed at the beginning of every job and work is completed safely. Complete equipment maintenance in line with OCL Group and industry standards procedures and practices. May perform other related duties assigned Maintain shop cleanliness. Previous fabrication shop experience is an asset Reliable with a strong work ethic Good attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Versatile and flexible - able to work in the field or on a project as needed A motivated self-starter Eager to learn develop and grow Takes pride in their workmanship; aims for a zero repair rate Takes pride in safety document control lock-up procedures & preventative maintenance Excellent english communication skills required Able to follow directions Performs well under pressure and tight deadlines Registered 3rd or 4th year Apprentice Pipefitter Registered Journeyman Pipefitter Previous experience in a shop or industrial fabrication environment CSTS 2020 Fundamentals (contains WHMIS 2015) May be required to complete a pre-access drug and alcohol test when working on certain sites May need to have certain safety tickets and complete site specific orientations for certain sites Class 5 drivers license with reliable transportation to and from work

The Role
We are seeking a motivated Shop Fabrication Pipefitter to join our fabrication team. This is a full-time shop-based role with a schedule of Monday to Thursday 6 : 30 am 5 : 00 pm. Future project requirements may include overtime weekend shifts or short-term field work.
Compensation / Benefits
- 3rd and 4th year rates are 80% and 90% respectively of Journeyperson wage which is $44.00 per hour.
- Overtime at time and a half after 8 hours per day.
- 6% vacation pay and 4% stat holiday pay on all regular hours.
