Financial Reporting Analyst

We're looking for a skilled Financial Analyst reporting to join a global financial services leader in downtown Montreal. This role is crucial for supporting the preparation of proforma financials. producing profitability reporting by products and expense type. and must be familiar with month-end close and GL process.

You'll be a great fit if you have direct experience in the finance industry or indirect experience from an external accounting firm. This is an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact, work on improvement projects like automation, and blend your passion for technology with accounting.

The position is a hybrid role, requiring you to be in the office at least three days a week.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting : Develop and analyze pro forma financials for the BNA future state, ensuring alignment with key reporting metrics such as product profitability, expenses, and affiliate governance.

Process Improvement : Identify and resolve reporting discrepancies, working to ensure consistent and accurate financial data across all entities. You will also address standalone reporting requirements and verify data sources.

Operational Support : Assist with general ledger and month-end close processes as needed.

Automation & Technology : Support the development of new automation and technology initiatives, specifically within SAP and Alteryx.

Qualifications

Experience : Direct experience in financial reporting, external reporting, or a related field within the financial services industry is preferred. Experience with an external accounting or audit firm is a strong asset.

Skills : Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of financial statements and GAAP. Familiarity with SAP, Alteryx, or similar systems is highly desirable.

Work Style : A proactive, detail-oriented professional with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Education : A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA or ACCA or equivalent is a strong asset
