The Opportunity
Adara Hotel is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented General Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep, safety, and overall condition of the property. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining a comfortable, welcoming environment for our guests and residents.
Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, you’ll help ensure the hotel operates smoothly by completing preventative maintenance, daily repairs, and routine building care. If you have experience in building or hotel maintenance and enjoy solving problems, this position offers a great mix of independence, teamwork, and practical technical work.

What You Bring to the Table
Minimum 1 year of experience in building, hotel, or general maintenance.Willingness to complete the Pool Smart certification (if not already certified).Basic skills in carpentry and electrical work (assets, but not required).Strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving approach.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.A positive attitude and a willingness to support the team wherever needed.Your Days Will Look Like
Complete general maintenance and repair tasks throughout the property and guest units to ensure all areas remain in excellent condition.Perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and prevent larger issues.Assist with carpentry, basic electrical work, and other specialty maintenance tasks as needed.Maintain the hotel pool, including water testing and balancing, in compliance with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) requirements.Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to troubleshoot issues and plan maintenance priorities.Respond promptly and professionally to repair requests from team members and guests.Sound like a fit?
