- Position Summary :
- We are seeking a Logistics Operations Specialist for an -month contract to join our Calgary-based operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling rail movements from key terminals and third-party facilities across Canada, supporting the transportation of multiple product lines.
- This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and is willing to provide on-call and occasional weekend support. Strong Excel skills and the ability to coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders are essential for success in this role.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Schedule and coordinate rail movements for various products from internal and third-party terminals.
- Monitor logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Collaborate with supply chain, terminal operations, and third-party partners to resolve scheduling and operational issues.
- Maintain and manage data using Excel spreadsheets and databases.
- Provide on-call support and assist during weekend operations as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics efficiency.
- Requirements :
- years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or rail transportation scheduling preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team.
- Willingness to provide on-call and weekend support when needed.
- Must be able to work from the Calgary office three days per week, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays as mandatory in-office days.
