Reporting to the Vice-President (Administration), the Associate Vice-President (Finance) leads all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, planning, budgeting, treasury, procurement, and distribution. In this pivotal role, you will steward the financial health and integrity of the University, safeguarding its assets and maintaining its fiscal viability.
As a member of the University’s senior leadership team and a resource to the Board of Governors, this positiondevelops and implements financial strategies as well as anticipate industry trends in support of the institution’s goals using a holistic approach, with a focus on the student experience and integrating technology as a tool. You will lead a dedicated team by fostering a collaborative and innovative workplace environment. Your ability to establish and maintain relationships with senior leadership, government officials, and other stakeholders is crucial in meeting the expectations of this AVP position.

What You’ll Do :
- Lead Financial Services and Supply Management Services departments, fostering a supportive and productive environment.
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial policies, ensuring accountability and compliance.
- Under the direction of the Vice-President (Administration), manage the annual budget process, financial planning, and reporting, presenting to the Board of Governors.
- Work collaboratively with Deans, Faculty Administrators and Associate Vice Presidents, providing advice and proposing solutions to maximize resources and efficiencies
- Using continuous improvement methodology, monitor technological advancements and software updates in the field. Including implementing the use of new technology in all aspects of the financial services and supply management portfolios to provide regular and timely data and reporting requirements.
- Oversee financial audits, maintaining accurate and transparent financial records.
- Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on financial risk management and operational improvements.
- Engage / liaise with government officials on budgeting and policy matters.

Undergraduate degree in a relevant field is required and preference is given to those holding a relevant Master’s degree.Current CPA designation.Minimum 10 years of senior management experience within financial operations.Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role :
