(CAN) General Merchandise Associate

Position Summary

Working as a General Merchandise Associate at Walmart Canada provides an opportunity to develop your retail skills. The role requires providing exemplary customer service, maintaining and zoning the general merchandise area, stocking, and assisting with the sale of goods. What You'll Do

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers politely and friendly, promoting products / services, locating merchandise and helping with purchase decisions, resolving customer issues, and referring concerns when appropriate.
• Covers an assigned area(s) on the sales floor.
• Zones the assigned area.
• Moves feature merchandise to its modular home.
• Recovers merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other store areas.
• Assists with front‑end coverage.
• Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard‑free work environment through adherence to company policy, safety sweep logs, and securing displays and fixtures.
• Stocks merchandise / picks, downstocks if applicable, applies product protection when required, and sets / completes modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $15.50 per hour. Pay will be determined based on relevant experience.
