The Role : As an RN in the Labor & Delivery Unit, you will provide essential care to mothers and newborns during all stages of childbirth, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care. You will play a critical role in ensuring safe and positive delivery outcomes.
Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to pregnant women during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases.
- Conduct initial assessments, monitor vital signs, and assist in the management of pain relief strategies.
- Perform X-ray procedures, including positioning patients, operating equipment, and producing high-quality images.
- Assist in the delivery process, ensuring the safety and well-being of both the mother and newborn.
- Perform fetal monitoring, administer medications, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with established protocols and regulations.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.Current, unrestricted RN license in your current province.Minimum of 2 years (recent experience) of L&D nursing experience.BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Please note that we are exclusively recruiting people who can legally work in Canada.
