The Operation Analyst, Depository Control is responsible for ensuring complete and timely processing of tasks in areas such as :

  • Depository Control
  • Cross Boarder
  • Shareholder Communications

The Operations Analyst is responsible for the processing of deposits and withdrawals, funds / ledger adjustments, strip bond requests and monitoring cross boarder movements. They are also responsible for Shareholder Communications, processing Holders of Record requests and managing the distribution of shareholder materials.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Accurate, timely processing and reconciliation of strip bond, package and reconstitution requests.
  • Review reconciliation reports for daily Strip Bond application. Ensure out of balances are dealt with promptly.
  • Initiation and / or input of CDS deposit / withdrawal / security / funds adjustments to maintain the integrity of CDS, External Custodian and Participant records.
  • Verification of output and resolution of any discrepancies associated with the processing of ledger movements.
  • Monitoring of Cross Boarder movements.
  • Input of meeting and record dates (NRMDs) in CDSX APAS and distribution of related reports in a timely manner.
  • Verification of daily audit trail and weekly meeting date extracts for accuracy and making corrections if needed to ensure proper publications to the financial news papers.
  • Timely preparation and distribution of bulletins and declarations to shareholders.
  • Accountable for annual Declaration process with Canadian Banks and ensure predetermined deadlines are met.
  • Handling of customer inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Input of related stats and fees for monthly billing. Ensure that all invoices are paid in a timely manner.
  • Skills :

  • Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize in order to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills and ability to propose operational solutions and solve moderately complex problems specific to a project or assignment
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision, as well as a team player
  • Reliable and respect TMX's Code of Conduct
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Education / Experience :

  • Post secondary education in finance / business / commerce.
  • Minimum 1-3 years progressive experience in the Securities Financial Industry
  • A good understanding of trading, clearing and settlement procedures.
  • Strong proficiency with Google and other desktop applications
