Our client is an established Developer Builder who has a proud 40-year history of producing properties in BC. Their diverse portfolio includes mixed use, residential, senior living facilities, and social housing / non-profit developments. Every project they produce is defined by a strong focus on user experience, thoughtful design, and a down-to-earth philosophy of enriching themunities in every way. Due to the ongoing growth, they are looking to add a Superintendent to oversee a 6-storey wood frame multifamily development in Burnaby.
Your new roleAs Superintendent, you will oversee the construction of a 6-storey wood frame multifamily project located in Burnaby. Reporting to the Director of Construction, the role will involve overseeing a number of onsite staff to ensure quality control, trade coordination, project scheduling, field cost control and safety administration and reporting of the project. This is a demanding role which requires someone who is not only technically strong and resilient but someone who is passionate about the projects they build and leads with this mentality.
What you'll need to succeedThis job requires a minimum of 5+ years of previous experience in a Superintendent role working for either a General Contractor or Developer Builder locally. A proven track record of delivering wood frame multifamily projects successfully is a must. The role requires a candidate with a good permanent work history, excellentmunication skills with good trade knowledge. Journeyman carpenter or a related construction qualification is considered an asset.
