What is the opportunity?
As the Schedule Manager , you will be leading a scheduling team responsible for developing effective project design and construction schedules and monitoring them throughout the design and construction phases for adherence to the base project schedule.
You will be developing detailed project schedules from conceptual and preliminary plans and documenting the basis of schedule development and associated schedule risks.
You will work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and other stakeholders to identify schedule-related issues and implement proactive mitigating measures.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing and optimizing project timelines for complex transportation infrastructure projects, including bridges and major upgrades to rail and transit stations, while maintaining the reputation of Entuitive as a trusted partner within our client and consulting engineering community.
- Manage the scheduling, reporting, and maintenance of design and construction schedule data for various transportation and infrastructure projects, including rail and transit stations and bridges.
- Collaborate with client and construction team schedulers to coordinate the design and construction schedules as required to suit alternative project delivery contracts such as progressive design-build.
- Coordinate with the project team, contractors, the client, and other stakeholders to ensure project schedules are realistic, achievable, and aligned with project goals.
- Develop design schedules to incorporate constructability and other issues affecting design requirements, design development alternatives, design changes, early work packages, permits and AHJ reviews, long-lead equipment or materiel items, scope changes, and operational, maintenance and interface constraints.
- Coordinate with the project manager to develop and maintain resource-loaded work breakdown structured (WBS) schedules to ensure efficient allocation of resources throughout the project timeline.
- Keep the project team informed about schedule planning and development input requirements and unresolved issues.
- Coordinate with the project manager and design manager to periodically update critical design schedule data as the design develops, including schedule assumptions and the general basis for schedule development and key items which may be incomplete or have duration estimates to be confirmed by the design team or others
- Provide periodic updates and documentation to the risk manager and the project team on variances from the base schedule, activity duration changes, assumption changes or confirmations, time impacts, and other potential issues affecting the project schedule critical path together with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Perform reviews and analyses of design and construction schedules, including Monte Carlo simulations, to check schedule reliability, to identify longest path and critical path items, and providing recommendations for increased schedule reliability.
- Perform review and reporting tasks and present results at project team, senior management, client, and stakeholder meetings.
- Maintain strong knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements affecting transportation infrastructure projects.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to the schedule team.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed?

- Proven expertise in managing both design and construction schedules for large-scale projects.
- Deep understanding of alternative project delivery methods such as Progressive Design-Build, Design Build, CMAR, and P3 and their impact on project scheduling and execution.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Oracle Primavera P6 with Primavera Risk Analysis (PRA) and ACUMEN Risk.
- Strong knowledge of rail and transit station design, bridges, construction processes, and related scheduling constraints.
- Excellent leadership, team management, communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with the client, design teams, the public, and stakeholders.
