Job description

Beothic Fish Processors Limited is currently seeking a business, finance and entrepreneurial minded professional to join our team as Chief Financial Officer. This position reports directly to our President and Executive Vice-President. Beothic is a leader in the seafood processing industry in Newfoundland and Labrador with a proven track record of growth and success. This is a fast-paced company operating in a very dynamic and ever-changing industry that offers the challenges of managing growth throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities :

Leading activities of the finance department, including financial reporting, financing, operational reporting, cost accounting and cash flow management;
Preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, in addition to financial analysis and reporting;
Budgeting, forecasting, and treasury management;
Provide oversight and leadership for the company's IT environment;
Monitor the financial health of the organization to ensure strategic goals and objectives are achieved.

The successful candidate will have the following :

Bachelor's degree with a professional accounting designation (CPA);

Min 10 years post qualification experience in more senior accounting and finance positions;

Previous experience in the seafood industry or manufacturing / processing industry a definite asset;

Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

Entrepreneurial attitude, proactive and driven;

Outstanding decision making and analytical abilities;

Team player with the ability to self-motivate and motivate others.
